Observed behaviors

Five stages, one companion.

Narravora follows the actual shape of writing a novel — not a generic document editor with an AI button glued on.

01 / genesis

Genesis

Talk through your premise, genre, and cast with a guide chat that turns loose ideas into a plot, a style guide, and a growing compendium of characters and lore.

02 / outline

Outline

Every chapter and beat, laid out and editable by hand or by selection. Ask it to enrich the whole arc with more texture — nothing gets deleted, only deepened.

03 / manuscript

Manuscript

Draft scene by scene with a prose chat that knows your compendium and style guide, or select a line yourself and ask for exactly the fix it needs.

04 / style

Style

A line-editing pass over the whole novel — repetition, filler words, passive voice, telling-not-showing, and the specific rhythm that gives prose away as machine-written.

05 / cover

Cover

Generate real cover art with your choice of image model — not a generic placeholder — and export a press-ready interior and wrap sized to Amazon KDP's own specs.

Habitat notes

It lives on your machine. That's the whole point.

Most AI writing tools rent you a subscription to a server that holds your manuscript. Narravora doesn't.

Your files, your disk

Every scene is a plain text file in a folder you control. Back it up, sync it, put it in Git — it's yours, in a format you can still open in twenty years.

Bring your own key

Connect OpenRouter, Fal.ai, or the image provider you already trust. You pay providers directly, at their price — no markup on every generation.

Nothing writes without asking

Every AI suggestion — a scene, an edit, an enriched outline — shows up for review first. Accept it, edit it, or throw it out. Always your call.

Life cycle

From loose idea to finished draft.

01

Install it, add your API key

Runs as a normal desktop app. Paste in the key for whichever AI provider you already use — nothing is sent anywhere else.

02

Talk out your story in Genesis

Describe what you've got, even if it's messy. Walk out with a premise, a style guide, and your first cast of characters.

03

Build the outline, then the manuscript

Structure the chapters, then draft scene by scene with the prose chat — or write every word yourself and just use it for edits.

04

Run the style pass, export your cover

Let the line-editor catch what a tired eye misses, generate cover art, and export a file ready for KDP.
