STAGE 01 / 05

Genesis: where the idea becomes a plan.

Before you write a single scene, you need a premise, a genre and tone, a cast, and a world. Genesis is where you build all four — in conversation, not in a blank form.

What actually happens here

Two halves, one conversation.

Genesis splits the screen: your Compendium on one side, a brainstorming panel on the other, and a guide chat underneath that ties them together.

The Compendium

Your wiki of characters, locations, lore, and items. Every entry has a name, aliases, a summary, custom fields, and relations to other entries — and the app automatically detects which entries get mentioned in which scene as you write, so you can see a character's arc across the whole book without hunting for it.

The brainstorming panel

Premise, genre, and a style guide (tone, voice, POV) live here as editable text — and every Compendium category has its own "🪄 Add with AI" button for a quick, one-off burst of ideas (need three more side characters? ask right there) without leaving the category you're working in.

The Outline Chat

The guide chat that actually drives the process — describe your story even if it's a mess, and it asks what's missing, proposes a genre or a style guide, offers to add characters to your Compendium, and when you're ready, offers to generate the outline itself. Every proposal shows up as a card you accept, edit, or discard — nothing gets written to your project without you saying yes.

Next stop

Once you accept the generated outline, it appears — chapter by chapter, scene by scene — in the Outline tab, ready to edit or enrich.
