Genesis hands you a chapter-by-chapter structure. Outline is where you live with it — read it end to end, edit any beat by hand, enrich it with AI, or fix one exact sentence without touching anything else.
Every act, chapter, and scene shows up as a collapsible tree, each scene showing its beat — a short note on what happens there. You can read the entire arc of your novel in one scroll.
Click into any scene's beat and type — it autosaves as you go, the same debounced, race-condition-safe autosave the prose editor uses. Nothing gets lost mid-edit, even if you switch scenes or close the tab a second later.
Highlight any phrase inside a beat and a small "✏️ Edit with AI" button appears. Type what you want changed, and a proposed rewrite shows up right there — Accept, Retry, or Cancel. Only that exact selection changes; nothing else in the beat moves.
Not sure what your outline needs? Story Weaver proposes 4 concrete directions specific to your story — not generic advice — referencing real chapters and characters. Pick one or more, and it works the enrichment into every scene it actually applies to. You review every change, scene by scene, before anything is applied — and it only adds detail, it never deletes a plot point you already have.
Once a beat says what you want it to say, head to Manuscript — that beat becomes the seed for the actual prose of that scene.
